Two Rings ready to ship to their new owners. I love creating items people want. It makes me feel good. I feel good because I get to add a bit of beauty and fun to my customer’s day.
I feel that I become part of their lives, and they a part of mine. I think that is why I have always loved to create or make stuff. Because I feel this exchange of energy when people receive the product that I made.
Even when I was a sales engineer for a manufacturing company, I felt a sense of responsibility for the product my customer received and pride in the fact that I represented the group of people who created it.
What ever you want to call it creation, making, building it all boils down to energy. And I believe energy good or bad can be sensed by the end-user. They either have a good experience and a bad one.
I strive to create great experiences for my customers.

Whenever I sell something I am deeply touched and thankful to both God and my customer.
Every time I start the creation process I am reminded of how God has blessed me with the talent and the desire to make stuff. And when I receive an order I am touched that someone has picked my creation over all the other talented makers out there.
The Ring pictured below is a Christmas present. A son and mother were online shopping for a ring he wanted for Christmas and they picked one of mine. I am so blessed to be able to make such a positive impact on people’s lives.
This ring becomes a bond between a mother and her son that will last a life time. I am so blessed to be part of that.
I enjoy my Angel project. I get time to think about ideas other than the day-to-day Earthly stuff. You know, like filling jewelry orders or dealing with family stuff.
It forces me to imagine everything. In this series of images, I just let go and let the image talk to me. I listen, with my eyes and feelings, and then try to react with the correct tool, brush stroke, or color.
Because I create an Angel almost every day, it is like taking my mind to the gym and exercising my imagination on a daily basis. I enjoy the challenge of thinking and the challenge of pushing my knowledge of the software.
This is Angel #708. So for almost two years I have created something every day. I think that is important for makers, creators, and artist it just do it without worry of the outcome. We have so many demands on our skills that we need play time. Time to create without fear of failure. That is what this project has been for me.

For the most part it is a good idea to have a plan. For most anything I create I have a plan. I plan my paintings, my drawings, my jewelry, my shop improvement projects, my home projects like landscaping, and painting… well you get idea. PLAN FIRST.
Visualization is key to the planning process. One needs to see or feel the end in order to have a successful start. My advice is to visualize the end the go forward with a plan and be confident. You may need to alter the plan as you go, but that is alright.
The plan is the real life manifestation of your visualization and as always life and technical ability get in the way of every plan. That is where the confidence comes in. Be confident that you will succeed even if you have to start your painting over or your life over.
